  • In-Branch: Classes

    • Check your confirmation e-mail. There will be a red “Cancel Registration” button in the body of the e-mail. Click there and follow the instructions in the link.
    • If you are unable to cancel via e-mail, please call the branch you registered at to let them know you cannot attend, or call the general inquiries line (780-496-7000). Branch contact information can be found here.

    If the in-person class you want to attend is full, you can:

    • Put your name on the waitlist. To do this, simply view all in-person classes, choose the one you are interested in and click "Join Waitlist". You will be notified when a spot becomes available for you.
    • Drop-in spots may be available at the start time of the program, if registered participants do not show up.
    • Contact the branch or talk to an EPL staff member about other options for in-library activities.
  • In-Branch: Services

    Yes. Library Takeout, EPL's contactless holds pickup service, continues to be available at most branches. You can access our physical borrowing collections, staff-supported printing, copying scanning and faxing as well as information services without having to come into the branch.

    Yes, we are happy to answer your questions. Visit our customer service desks (observe the physical distancing markers) or talk to one of our staff on the floor. You can also reach EPL staff by phone at 780-496-7000, by text at 587-817-0337, or by email or chat.

    Yes, you can return items in-branch at select locations and where outside return chutes are available. Check out our locations for details.

    Yes, you can get a library card in-branch. You can also sign up for a card online at www.epl.ca/signup.

    Yes. Contactless (e.g. tap debit/credit) payments will be accepted. You can also make payments online by logging in to My EPL account. Cash payments are also accepted.

    No, unfortunately we are not accepting donated materials at this time. We are focusing on providing our primary services safely and will communicate when we are able to receive donated material.

    There are limited Makerspace services available. Find an EPL location with Makerspaces services or contact your branch to learn more.

    If you cannot visit the Library, you can still access the following services without physically coming in to a branch:

    • Non-face-to-face options to answer your questions such as phone (780-496-7000), text (587-817-0337), or chat (epl.ca/ContactEPL)
    • Library Takeout service, our contactless holds pickup service. You can access our physical borrowing collections, staff-supported printing, copying scanning and faxing as well as information services without having to come into the branch. 
    • If you require access to the Internet, the WiFi is available 24 hours a day outside our buildings, if they have a device
  • In-Branch: Computers, Printing & WiFi

    Yes, computer access and printing are available at all EPL locations.

    Yes, printing and photocopying services are available at all library locations.  The cost for standard, single-sided black-and-white printing and photocopying is 10 cents per page, and standard, single-sided colour printing and photocopying is 50 cents per page. For the full range of print services and costs, please see the fee schedule. We also have a remote printing option that allows you to send your documents to library printers from your home or the office, and you can release the job when you get to the library!     No, bookings are not required. However, you can reserve your computer in advance at mypc.epl.ca. Please note computer bookings are limited to one hour per customer per day.

    All EPL locations have free WiFi.
