Vimeo is a video sharing platform used by over 14 million members to share their digital art including film, animation and music videos. Users can sign up, upload videos for free and participate in a community of digital media artists. If you are still having trouble uploading your video, you can also email us at: Canada150@epl.ca
If you want your video to be added to EPL’s Canada 150: Edmonton Stories channel, you will have to have checked “Anyone can see my video” for your video’s privacy settings. This means that your video is available to be viewed by the public and can be seen by anyone who browses our channel. It might also be discoverable through searches online.
You can choose a Creative Commons license on Vimeo which lets others know how they can and cannot use your video. To apply a Creative Commons license to your video on Vimeo, follow these steps:
- Click on your video.
- Click on the Settings button underneath the video.
- Click on Advanced in the left hand Settings menu.
- Select a Creative Commons License.
- Click Save.

If you have uploaded your digital story using your own Vimeo account, you delete your video by following these steps:
- Login to your Vimeo account.
- Click on your profile in the top right corner.
- Click on Videos.
- Select the video you want to delete.
- Click on the Settings button underneath the video.
- Click on Video File in the left hand Settings menu.
- Click the red Delete button.
- Enter your Vimeo password to delete the video.
If your video was uploaded to the EPL Canada 150 account by an EPL staff member, please email Canada150@epl.ca with the title of the video and a note requesting it be deleted.
