    Yes, all of our branches have computers with free WiFi, Internet and email access, word processing and printing. You can use a computer for free—all you need is your library card.

    Terms of Use

    The Edmonton Public Library provides access to the Internet to fulfill its mission, "We Share."

    You must read and agree to the conditions below before continuing to use this service.

    Customers must use their own cards or Internet passes to book or access computers.

    Library computers may not be used to:

    • Access sites or transmit materials that violate Canadian federal or provincial laws or City Bylaws and/or are defamatory, discriminatory or obscene.
    • Send fraudulent, harassing or obscene email messages.
    • Display overt sexual images.

    The Edmonton Public Library also prohibits:

    • Damaging or modifying the Library's computer equipment, software or network.

    Failure to comply with the EPL Public Internet Access Policy and the prohibited activities listed above will result in loss of Internet access and possible banning from all library facilities. Unlawful activities may result in prosecution.

    The Library reserves the right to terminate an Internet session at any time.

     

    1. Go to print.epl.ca in your browser
    2. Click Print
    3. Select the printer you want to use
    4. Add the document from your computer or mobile device, or enter the web address you want to print
    5. Choose the page range you want to print
    6. Enter your email address
    7. Click Continue
    8. (Optional) Change print settings
      • NOTE: Double-sided printing is chosen by default
    9. Confirm changes in the preview
    10. Click Continue to submit the print job
    11. Write or screenshot the code that appears
    12. Use your email address and code to print from the print release station

    NOTE: Any materials sent to one of our branches for web printing will be held for 48 hours.

    • Log in to mypc.epl.ca.
    • Go to “My Bookings.”
    • Find the booking you want to cancel.
    • Click the "Cancel Booking" button.

    Not a problem, you can use any available computer. When logging in, a message will say you already have a booking for that day that you’ll need to delete. Once you do this, you can log in to the computer you're using.

    • Book your time up to a week in advance.
    • Your EPL library card number and PIN are required.
    • EPL computers are popular, so don’t be late! If you’re more than 10 minutes late, your session will be cancelled.

    Pre-loaded apps on Chromebooks are mostly Google based.

    • They include Chrome, Chrome Web Store, YouTube, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations, Files and Pixlr photo editor.

    • They’re lightweight, fast and easy to use.
    • Log into your Google account to access your photos, music, videos and documents with Google Drive & Docs.
    • No Google account? No problem. Just use as a guest!
    • Chromebooks are secure. They protect against viruses and malware without extra software.
