  • General Questions

    This usually happens when an applicant tries to sign in through the Internal Opportunities link.

    If this happens, please try:

    • Going back to EPL Careers.
    • Clicking on External Opportunities.
    • Logging into your account.

    If you still can’t login, please fill out a Careers Form and we’ll respond within one business day.

    Edit:
    • Login to your Taleo account. Under My Account you can edit personal information (email address, phone number, home address), login information (username, password), and correspondence options.
    Delete:
    • Login to your Taleo account. Under My Account click “Deactivate.”

    • You can attach up to 100 files, each up to 1 MB in size. (Some pictures, graphics, and scanned pages can exceed 1 MB).
    • We accept the following file types: word (.doc, .docx), text (.txt), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Portable Document Format (.pdf), and Hypertext Markup Language (.htm, .html).
    • If you need to delete a file, please fill out a Careers Form indicating the file name. We’ll respond within one business day.

    If you have forgotten your Taleo username and/or password:

    • Click “Forgot your username?”
    • Enter your email address and click “Validate.” This will take you to a page with your username.
    • Click “Forgot your password?” Fill in your user name and email address.

    You’ll receive an email to the email address on your account. This will include an access code. Copy this access code and click the link provided in the email to enter your new password.

    If you forgot your username and password, use the “Forgot your username?” feature to retrieve your username. You’ll need your username to retrieve your password.

    If you cannot reset your username and/or password, please complete a Careers Form and we’ll respond within one business day.

    Yes, if the opportunity is still posted online.

    Here’s how:

    • Under “My Jobpage,” click “View/edit submission” below the job title of the application you want to edit.

    • We’ll review applications against the posting’s qualifications. We recommend your resume and cover letter highlight your qualifications as they relate to the opportunity you apply for.
    • If your education was completed outside of Canada, please indicate on your resume if it has been evaluated for Canadian equivalency and who completed the assessment.
    • Include relevant volunteer work on your resume.

    We are very fortunate to receive a large number of qualified applicants on all of our postings. Due to the high volume of applicants, we are unable to interview everyone who meets the qualifications. Qualified candidates are selected based on their skills and experience relevant to the position they have applied for.

    While we post almost all positions both internally and to the public, we generate a significant interest from current EPL employees who often possess the skills and experience that we are seeking.

    • You’ll get a notification confirming we received your application. To view this message, your application status and any communications sent to you, click “My Jobpage.”
    • The hiring manager will review your application.
    • Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted directly.
    • We receive a lot of applicants, and we’re unable to respond to specific questions about your application status.
    • If you aren’t selected for the role, we’ll send you an automated notification.
    • If you haven’t received a response from EPL within six weeks of the closing date, you can assume the position has been filled.

    Create an online profile and receive email notifications when we post a position matching your preferences.

    Here’s how:

    • Login to Taleo and click “My account options.”
    • Under Correspondence, click “Edit.”
    • Check the box for “Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification).”
    • Go to your profile and click “Edit” on “Profile Information.”
    • Select the Family and Function.
    • Select the Location.
    • Select the Department.

    All EPL locations have FREE public computers and Wi-Fi. Find your nearest branch.

    We only accept applications through our Careers page.

    Here’s how to apply:
    • Choose External (public) or Internal (current EPL employees) Career Opportunities.
    • Click “Apply” on the opportunity that’s right for you.
    • Read the Acknowledgement Statement. Click “I Accept” to continue.
    • Login with your user name and password or create an account by clicking “New User.”
    • Complete the application: Parts 1 and 2 of the Questionnaire, Education/Certification and Work Experience
    • Attach/upload your resume, cover letter and any other supporting documents. Ensure any files you want us to view are checked as “Relevant Files.” If a file is not marked as relevant, we cannot view it.
    Using our online application makes sure:
    • We see your application.
    • You can track the progress of your application.
    • We collect relevant information, including your responses to the questions.
