Edmonton Public Library and Civic Services Union 52 reach a tentative agreement

All library branches to remain open during the ratification process.

For immediate release: 

EDMONTON, AB, Thursday, March 14, 2024 — The Edmonton Public Library (EPL) and Civic Service Union (CSU) 52 have reached a tentative agreement and there will be no labour disruption at this time. All EPL branches will remain open.  

Below is a statement from Pilar Martinez, CEO of EPL.  

I am pleased to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached between CSU 52 and EPL. While this tentative agreement must be ratified by EPL’s union members, we are delighted that Edmontonians may continue to access all EPL services while this process is underway.”
