Student Work Experience

EPL’s Student Work Experience Programs provide opportunities for students like you to discover career possibilities with public libraries, develop skills and add practical experience to your resume.

Our Student Work Experience Program currently has opportunities for students in grade 9 and high school who are registered in a school work experience program. Our 21 branches are open 7 days a week, and opening hours range from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., depending on the day. EPL is flexible in how your work experience placement is scheduled. Work experience placements are unpaid. During your placement, you will learn more about our customer service focus, our collections, and our materials handling process (e.g. shelving materials). We provide the training and orientation—you provide the interest and enthusiasm!

If you are interested in exploring the possibility of a work experience placement at one of our branches, please complete the Student Work Experience Form or email hrshelp@epl.ca.
