Web Services Projects
The Edmonton Public Library's Web Services team consists of web developers who support and maintain a large number of applications for EPL staff and customers. Here are some of the publicly available projects that the team is responsible for creating and maintaining.
You can sign up for a library card for yourself or your children easily using this online form that securely confirms your identity.
EPL branches have informational displays that show upcoming classes, events, branch hours and more. Live weather is also provided by AerisWeather.
Our displayboards show bus schedules near branches, but we also have a handy web application available that shows Edmonton Transit System bus and train schedules, complete with real-time data showing when buses are early or late. Google Maps integration allows you to see routes and select stops. This works well on your smartphone so you can avoid waiting in the cold for a late bus.
