Give
As a registered charity, Edmonton Public Library relies on generous community support to deliver programs and services that go beyond what public funding can provide. We’re committed to creating inclusive spaces where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive.
Your donation helps extend our reach and strengthen the programs that matter most, including early literacy, technology access, and unique experiences like summer camps. There are many ways to give. You can make a one-time or monthly donation, give in memory or celebration, donate books, or plan a future legacy. However you choose to give, your support helps build a stronger, more connected Edmonton.
This summer, we're excited to launch Cook Up a Story, a brand-new summer camp designed to nourish both minds and bodies. Geared toward children ages 9 to 11 from socially vulnerable families, the camp combines the magic of storytelling with hands-on learning that goes beyond books.
Each week, 25 campers will enjoy five days of learning adventures, complete with healthy lunches and snacks. From cooking challenges to reading, writing, crafting, and play, Cook Up a Story is all about learning through exploration and fun.
By supporting the Cook Up a Story, you're helping us provide enriching experiences to kids who may not otherwise have access. Every donation opens the door for more children to discover new skills, spark creativity, and build confidence; both in the kitchen and beyond.

- Expanding Literacy Horizons: This camp goes beyond traditional literacy by incorporating food literacy, digital storytelling, and creative expression, helping kids develop real-world skills that last a lifetime.
- Access to Enrichment: Many families in our community cannot afford summer camps or specialized learning programs. Your donation ensures children from socially vulnerable families can attend at no cost.
- Healthy Bodies, Creative Minds: Campers fuel their minds through storytelling and their bodies with nutritious meals that keep them energized and engaged.
- Nurturing Lifelong Learners: From teamwork to problem-solving, the camp fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning that stays with kids long after summer ends.
