With over 25,000 registered learners, University of Alberta Assistant Professor, Dr. Paul L. Gareau, from the Faculty of Native Studies had this to say about EPL’s support of the MOOC:

“The Edmonton Public Library is the biggest supporter of the Faculty of Native Studies' Indigenous Canada MOOC (IC-MOOC). Our partnership, through organized events and promotion, has helped our course to become the most popular MOOC in Canada in its first year! EPL takes to heart our vision of reaching out to Canadians with the perspectives and experiences of Indigenous Peoples. Thank you and we look forward to a future of collaboration and engagement!”
