Get a Library Card - FOR FREE!

You've clicked wisely.

Library cards were FREE from March 13, 2013 to March 13, 2014 - it was our Centennial birthday gift to you, to celebrate 100 years of a great library in our great city.

Now that we are 101, library cards are STILL FREE!

Getting your FREE library card is simple. Just come down to any branch with ID in hand (and proof of address). It's that easy! If you already have a card that expires within 30 days you can renew online!

You can now sign up online and start experiencing some of the benefits of membership even sooner!

Even better, if you sign up or renew between March 13, 2014 and June 1, 2014, you will be entered to win airfare for two to Europe via Iceland! Click to read a FAQ and contest rules.

If you're under 18, bring your parent or guardian along to sign for you – they'll be legally responsible for what you borrow.

Did you know that you can also use your EPL card to borrow physical materials from other libraries? Simply register for FREE at melibraries.ca and start using your me card today!
