Arlene Dickinson

One of Canada’s most renowned independent marketing communications entrepreneurs.

Arlene Dickinson is best known to Canadians as one of the venture capitalists on the award-winning CBC series Dragons’ Den and The Big Decision, as well as Under New Management. She is also the author of two bestselling books, Persuasion and All In, and is currently writing a third.

Dickinson is an Honourary Captain of the Royal Canadian Navy and a recipient of Honorary Doctorate Degrees from Mount Saint Vincent University, Saint Mary’s University and Concordia University, as well as Degrees from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and Olds College. She is also a recipient of The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Dickinson's success and leadership has been recognized with multiple honours and awards, including: Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100, the Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, and PROFIT and Chatelaine’s TOP 100 Women Business Owners.

She is a generous philanthropist, supporter of many important causes, as well as a mother of four and grandmother of seven.
