EPL Reopening

On Wednesday, Sept.15, the Province announced a state of public health emergency, with new public health measures and restrictions. To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, EPL continues to adhere to public health restrictions including mandatory face masks/coverings and physical distancing at all our locations, and remains operating at a 33% capacity.

The provincial government has provided updated guidance, opens a new window around the restrictions exemption program. Public libraries are considered entities that need to be accessed by the public for daily living purposes, and as such are not included in the organizations/businesses that can implement the restrictions exemption program. Libraries are instead directed to take other steps to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Our branches remain open with regular hours. For customers unable to visit us in-person, Library Takeout Service and Personal Picks Pack are still available.

All our in-person classes and events are paused until further notice.

Stay in the EPL loop! For latest updates, visit this page, follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, sign up for our newsletter and view our list of updated branch hours by location.
