Getting Started with eXpress Titles and cloudLibrary

In Browser:

eXpress Titles are like a digital version of our Hits To Go collection. Two eBooks and two eAudiobook titles can be borrowed for a week at a time; and no holds can be placed on this collection.

Titles in this collection appear in the catalogue as an eXpress Titles format. Clicking on the ‘eXpress Titles’ link will bring you to the collection’s web interface.

Desktop app:

The desktop app has been discontinued by cloudLibrary and has been replaced by cloudLibrary Web Patron. With e-ink now available through the cloudLibrary web patron experience, the need for the individual PC and Mac apps is no longer required. The PC and Mac apps have been discontinued and both applications will no longer be supported even if a user has the app downloaded to their device. This update does not impact iOS or Android apps.

Mobile Apps:

The cloudLibrary mobile app is freely available for iOS and Android devices as well as Amazon's Fire tablet. You can find it at the app store or from the cloudLibrary's website. When you log on to the app for the first time, it will walk you through the sign in process by choosing your country, province, library, and library account.

Once you’ve logged in, you will be able to browse and see what’s available or search for a specific title with the magnifying glass at the top right hand side of the screen.

To see the titles you've checked out, tap the three horizontal bars in the upper left corner and then tap "My Book". To download a title, tap the downward point arrow on the title's cover. A title without that arrow has already been downloaded.

To return a title, in "My Books" choose "Return" from the menu near the top. Then tap the red "RETURN" button and confirm by tapping "YES".

Transfer to an eReader:

To transfer Ebooks title to an eReader, ensure you have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer. Go to yourcloudlibrary.com and choose your library from the drop-down menus. Click on the green Login button in the upper right. Input your Library ID and PIN. Search your library’s collection. When you find your desired book, borrow it! Once borrowed, the Book Details screen will show the text Download for offline reading. Click on the text link and the file will download onto your computer’s designated download folder. Log-in to Adobe Digital Editions with your Adobe ID and password. If you don’t have one you will need to create one using the Create an Adobe ID link in the menu. Add the title to your library: Once in Adobe Digital Editions, click on File from the upper menu and choose “Add to Library.” Navigate to the folder with your downloaded file and find the book file. You may have to choose Adobe content server message as the file type. Open the file.

The book will now open in Adobe Digital Editions. To read on your e-reader device, use your normal ADE-to-device process.

If you have previously used the cloudLibrary with an auto-generated Adobe ID you may need to click the Help menu and select the option to Deauthorize the device. This is a one-time step.

If you are experiencing issues with your titles being grayed out in ADE, please try navigating to the downloads folder (or the folder they were downloaded to) and double-click. They should automatically open in ADE.
