EPCOR Makes a Splash for the Edmonton Public Library
EDMONTON, AB, March 25, 2011 – The Edmonton Public Library (EPL) is pleased to welcome EPCOR Utilities Inc. as the Presenting Sponsor for the Library’s annual fundraising gala, Books2Eat. Inspired by the Edible Book Festival, Books2Eat invites chefs and cake creators to design cakes based on literary themes. This year’s theme is Splash! From land to sea to ship to shore, we are challenging cake designers to create cakes inspired by tales of all things water-based.
"EPCOR is proud to be the inaugural presenting sponsor of the Edmonton Public Library's Books2Eat Gala," said Leigh-Anne Palter, Vice President, Public and Government Affairs, EPCOR Utilities Inc. "Like the library, EPCOR has a long tradition of serving Edmontonians and helping to make life better in the communities we serve. We are particularly pleased to support this year's event, themed Splash!, which brings together two of EPCOR's essential pillars for community development: water and education."
“We are delighted to partner with EPCOR on our premier fundraising event,” said Linda C. Cook, Chief Executive Officer, Edmonton Public Library. “EPCOR recognizes that an investment in our library is a commitment to a stronger community and a great city.”
