RFID in Libraries
Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is the technology behind Edmonton Public Library’s new self-checkout stations. Learn more about how RFID is changing how libraries operate, and hear how it is being used at EPL. EPL's RFID RFP issued Mar 14, 2006 Posted by: EPL Staff The Edmonton Public Library has issued a Request for Proposal for the supply and installation of a Radio Frequency Identification System. This proposal can be accessed on our website but you will need access to a hidden link. If you would also like a hard copy and CD of the RFP these can be made available to you. To obtain the link or hard copies please contact lwhite@epl.ca or phone 780-496-1886. Please note there will be a mandatory site visit on March 20 and 21, 2006 so allow yourself sufficient time to travel to Edmonton if required. Library applications of RFID use the passive, rather than the active, tag technology. -- Adrienne Comments (0) | ||||
