   Rent a Meeting Room

The Edmonton Public Library offers rooms for rent to any person or group from the general public. Room rental costs are based on the capacity of the room, with differential pricing for Profit and Not-for-Profit organizations. To REQUEST the rental of a room, please follow one of the links below. Please note: GST will be added to all prices listed below.

Online requests must be made at least 72 hours before the event. Branches may be able to accomodate requests during this time span over the phone.

  • EPL Branches
    Branch meeting rooms are available during normal library hours unless otherwise noted. Customers are responsible for the setting up and taking down of tables and chairs.

  • Calder

  • Whitemud Crossing
    Rent Program Room

    The Meeting Room is a converted theatre equipped with an accordion wall that can be pulled to create a traditional meeting room.

  • Woodcroft

  • Stanley A. Milner Library
    These rooms are available during and outside normal library hours (additional security charges apply.)

    Who to call?
    Call the Facilities Office at 496-7080 or e-mail. Immediate payment (cash, debit, or credit card) is required to book a room.

    Catering
    The Second Cup has an exclusive agreement to provide catering services within the Stanley A. Milner Library. Contact The Second Cup at 780-423-9061. Payment made directly to the Second Cup.

  • Centennial Room
    Capacity is 60 seated theatre style.
    Internet connection available. (7 day advance notice required for Internet, user must provide their own network cable and/or any extension cords)

  • Edmonton Room
    Capacity is 150 seated theatre style.
    Internet connection available. (7 day advance notice required for Internet, user must provide their own network cable and/or any extension cords)

    $350/half day $700/full day (for profit organization)

    **For any event that exceeds one hundred people, an extra security guard must be hired by the user for the event. Please ask the Facilities Coordinator for more details.


  • Library Theatre
    The theatre seats 247 persons and has 11 wheelchair spaces.
    Internet connection available. (7 day advance notice required for Internet, user must provide their own network cable and/or any extension cords)
    It is fully equipped with light and sound equipment.

    $70/half day $140/full day (not for profit organization)
    $400/half day $800/full day (for profit organization)

    The Library deals exclusively with International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, IATSE, to meet technician requirements for events using the theatre booth. The user must contact IATSE at 780-423-1863. No access to the theatre booth will be given unless an IATSE technician is present. The user will ensure that the IATSE technician hours of work are scheduled in accordance with requirements of IATSE, specifically regarding breaks, meal periods, and overtime. Payment for the services of the technician is sent directly to IATSE by the user.

  • Room No. 7 - 6th Floor

    Capacity is 60 seated theatre style.
