On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the Friends of Edmonton Public Library are hosting a salon event evening at the Windsor Park Community League Hall. Join Dan Jones for an evening exploring the complexities and changing aspects of justice, crime, and corrections and rehabilitation in Edmonton and across Canada. Doors open at 6:30pm, with the conversation beginning at 7:00pm and wrapping up at 8:30pm.
Dan Jones is not your typical academic. A criminologist and PhD candidate with a Master's from Cambridge, he spent 25 years with the Edmonton Police Service — working undercover, investigating homicides, and rising to Inspector. Today he chairs the Justice Studies program at NorQuest College. He's also a fight analyst on BXNG TV. He brings that same energy to the big questions around crime, justice, and rehabilitation — and on June 10th, he'll bring it to us.

As with all FEPL salon events, space is limited to just 45 guests. Light refreshments are included, and tickets are $75.00 each, with a charitable tax receipt issued for $33.75. Don't miss your chance to be part of this special evening — tickets are available now!
