   NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)
For Writers > NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)

Are you a "One day I'd like to write a novel" type of author?

That day has come! November is National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo challenges the "one day" novelist to stop saying "some day" and, well, just do it already!

The catch? You must start writing your novel from scratch on November 1 (no cheating) and finish by November 30. And, your novel must be at least 50,000 words. Don't worry, the goal for now is quantity not quality; just get the words out. You can spend the next year editing it and making it pretty, but for now - just write!

If you're up for the challenge, the Edmonton Public Library has a table waiting for you! And for more motivation and support EPL is hosting NaNoWriMo writing sessions at several branches. How much easier can it get? We'll see you at the library!

Highlands - Nov. 4, 5:30 p.m.
Woodcroft - Nov. 18, 5 p.m.
Mill Woods - Nov. 26, 5 p.m.
