Featured children's collections include nursery rhymes, illustrated fairy tales and poetry and Picture Books for All Ages. Nonfiction for the young reader is shelved in the children's area of the library, while books of interest to the older, school-aged reader are shelved together with the adult nonfiction. There are small but popular collections of children's books in Chinese and French, as well as other languages.
The Adult print collection includes a broad range of novels and short stories, a substantial collection of nonfiction for both recreation and information, as well as a browsing collection of over 200 magazines and books in languages other than English. Mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, literature classics and large print books are shelved separately for easy browsing. Some materials are provided for those studying English as a Second Language.
Whitemud Crossing carries feature film and information videos on a variety of topics, a wide selection of classical, jazz and popular music on compact disc and books on tape for children and adults.
